The SES Support Grant 2025-2026 round is now open and closes 28 November 2024.
The grant assists local governments to provide high quality emergency and disaster management services through the allocation of resource focused funding.
For the 2025-2026 round, the requirement for a council contribution has been removed—increasing both the benefit and accessibility of the program for local government:
- Facility projects - applications will now be accepted for the total project cost, up to maximum funding of $150,000 (GST exclusive).
- Vehicle projects - applications will now be accepted for the total project cost, up to maximum funding of $75,000 (GST exclusive).
We strongly encourage local governments to apply and take advantage of this opportunity to enhance the capabilities of their SES unit and groups.
For information about available funds, how to apply and requirements, refer to the relevant funding round’s guidelines below. It is important that you refer to the correct funding round as the documentation changes each round. If you require assistance, please contact the SES Grants team at grants@ses.qld.gov.au.
Documentation for funding rounds prior to 2025-2026 includes dated contact information and references to Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES). In June 2024, SES transitioned from QFES to be a service hosted by Queensland Police Service. Please contact the new SES Grants email grants@ses.qld.gov.au if you have any questions or concerns about this. If you are acquitting or seeking a variation for an approved grant, please ensure you use the documents from the funding round your application was approved in.
