Central Region stretches from the Whitsunday Islands to Agnes Water, encompassing tropical islands and the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. Moving inland the region takes in the mining areas of the Bowen and Galilee Basins and the agricultural and pastoral districts west to Haddon Corner at the South Australian border. Major centres in the region include Mackay, Rockhampton, Gladstone, Emerald and Longreach.
It consists of 14 Units comprising of 66 Groups and over 1,200 active volunteers supported by 26 staff spread across offices in Rockhampton, Mackay and Longreach.
Far Northern Region stretches from Cardwell in the southeast to the Torres Strait Island communities in the north and the Gulf of Carpentaria in the west. It operates with 52 groups and is staffed by about 1150 volunteers and staff.
The North Coast Region covers the coastal areas of Bundaberg, Hervey Bay and the Sunshine Coast, and inland to the North and South Burnett. It consists of 9 Units comprising of 47 Groups and over 700 active volunteers supported by 21 staff spread across offices in Maryborough and Kunda Park.
The Northern Region covers from Ingham to the Gulf of Carpentaria the length of the Qld/NT border to Birdsville and to Bowen in the south. It consists of 16 Units comprising of 41 Groups and over 550 active volunteers supported by 16 staff spread across offices in Townsville and Mt Isa.
The South Eastern Region covers across local government areas and major cities of the Gold Coast, Logan, Ipswich, the Scenic Rim, and Somerset. It consists of 5 Units comprising of 27 Groups and over 599 active volunteers supported by 14 staff in the Ormeau office.
The South Western Region covers from Yarraman in the north, Goondiwindi in the south and as far west as Eromanga. It consists of 11 Units comprising of 43 Groups and over 387 active volunteers supported by 20 staff in Charlton, Toowoomba and Roma offices.
